Passion and Dedication of the Craftsman
We have reimagined the decorative style known as "Odoshi," seen in the Katchu (samurai armor) of the Heian and Kamakura periods, in a contemporary design embodying the warrior's aesthetic. The knob features a "Kikuza," a fitting traditionally used in armor. It combines the elegance of a crafted artifact with the aesthetic appeal of an interior piece and practicality for everyday use, realized through the artisan's mastery. The vibrant color scheme of the braided cords on the drawer front embodies auspicious wishes, symbolizing concepts like "harmony" and "family unity."
The paulownia box is carefully crafted by traditional artisans and comes in two color variations: "Traditional," inspired by the classic color combinations of Katchu, and "Gradation," expressing the gentle transitions found in nature. While kabuto helmets are traditionally displayed during seasonal festivals and then put away, this design reimagines them as interior storage, allowing you to display them year-round while keeping cherished items inside.
