“Decorating” music with the traditional look of washi Japanese paper and powdered silver-and-gold: giving color to music as an art piece

SOUND is a special music folder created with the sophisticated techniques of craftsmen working in gold leaf and silver-and-gold powder. Due to the characteristically soft texture of traditional Japanese washi paper, this item is not only high-performance and durable, but also light.
Music can be thought of as an art piece of a special place—the stage. These elegant, sophisticated designs have the effect of making music even more appealing to people everywhere. They are decorated with the gold silver-and-gold powder used for traditional Japanese sliding doors that have been successfully perpetuated from the Heian Period through the present time.
By coating the entire piece with konjac paste, which was used in the past to make washi paper surcoats more durable, we created a gorgeous-yet-calming design. Each meticulously hand-crafted SOUND music folder captures the intent of the artisan and the superior craftsmanship that goes into it.
