Heart sake cup

43 Others

Putting one on the palm of your hand,
a sudden smile will flash on your face.
The “Heart sake cup”
made by metal artisan Ms. Koto Miyata
makes you feel happy just looking at it.
The pinkish disposition of the copper
is also a perfect fit for the adorable heart motif.
The marks of the hammer on the side
of the sake cup is of a soft expression,
reminiscent to the wrinkles on Japanese paper.
The pattern on the head of the hammer is
copied onto the metal when striking it,
though usually it is rare for the metal to produce such
a soft atmosphere.Upon asking,
it seems the artisan uses a hammer
with a specially designed pattern.
And peeking inside the cup,
you find a glittering and sparkling foil applied to the bottom.
It’s delightful to see this scene
every time you drink from the cup.
It adds splendour to your time of drinking chilled sake etc.
There are three types of foil: red foil, blue foil and gold foil.
Because of the urethane coating finishing,
you can enjoy the beautiful texture of the copper
for a long period of time without worrying about deterioration.
