Passion and Dedication of the Craftsman

This TATAE flat plate has patterns engraved using Edo Kiriko techniques onto highly transparent optical glass, which is not normally used for Kiriko. The unique transparency and brilliance of optical glass and the delicate artisanal finish combine to create a dish that will shine on special occasions.

The cuts on the flat surface are both bold yet delicate. The traditional Kiriko pattern on the base creates a three-dimensional effect that softly reflects the surrounding light and colors. The vivid visual effects of the light turn the entire plate into a "stage of light," bringing out the inherent beauty of the food, whether savory or sweet.

The hand-cut and polished optical glass is extremely transparent, but this also means the slightest imperfection stands out. Of particular note is how difficult this glass is to work due to its hardness. A simple yet beautiful design that is the crystallization of the craftsman's art.
