A small rattan chair that perfectly fits your space
TOUKOISU
Craft Type: 25Tokyo Tokogei
Passion and Dedication of the Craftsman
The TOUKOISU is a small chair made of rattan crafted to suit even smaller spaces, bringing together the charm of natural materials with traditional technique.
A lower chair made with less depth than other traditional rattan armchairs, this is a compact piece that fits just about anyplace.
These chairs are crafted with time-tested rattan weaving techniques, where each strand is stripped in back (setori) and woven diagonally (hasume-ami)--resulting in even better comfort and a magnificent look. The arms, which provide the support the user needs getting in and out of the chair, are connected in a wrap around the back, boosting stability when the person sits down.
The balance of straight and curved lines fits with any interior, including Japanese as well as European/American designs. The chair can be beautifully placed in the living room, dining room, entranceway, bathroom, etc., of a home, as well as at restaurants, coffee shops, at hot springs lounges, etc.
