Passion and Dedication of the Craftsman

The single-flower vases, featuring a design with corners cut from the frame, come in three variations: two styles of "Wa-gakubuchi (Japanese-style frame)" meticulously crafted from natural wood and finished with a beeswax polish, and a "Yo-gakubuchi (Western-style frame)" elegantly adorned with gold leaf and deliberately aged for an antique appearance. The process of making Yo-gakubuchi incorporates innovative Japanese techniques to enhance productivity, such as using crafted wooden molds for decorative parts made by traditional Japanese confectionary wooden mold artisans. All of these efforts are united in the craftsmanship of Tokyo Gakubuchi. In addition, to complement the history and origin of the framed piece, multiple layers of lacquer and foil are applied to produce a rich, deep texture. This, too, is not merely decoration but the embodiment of the frame artisan's craftsmanship.
It carries on the natural texture of wood and the refined decorative beauty of Tokyo Gakubuchi, evoking the joy of displaying flowers and postcards. Display it vertically or horizontally according to space and preference.
