Passion and Dedication of the Craftsman
This glass, shaped as a traditional masu box, dons the new color Sui (Emerald), born from scrap materials, and crafted with the blown glass technique of Edo Glassware. Glass offcuts are inevitably produced during the manufacturing process. We have been told that "offcuts of colored glass cannot be recycled, but through numerous attempts and developments,, we created a new color, Tansui, with 100% recycled materials for this project. Suishoku, a blend of various colors of glass, represents a new step in environmentally conscious craftsmanship that complements the traditional essence of Japanese aesthetics.
The square masu glass offers a visual delight, as sakura petals appear to dance when sake is poured, and it can also bring an elegant touch to your table when used as a small serving bowl. With the clear color unique to glass, this piece can be enjoyed in various situations of everyday life.
