Passion and Dedication of the Craftsman
A unique mini bag crafted using the traditional techniques of Byobu (folding screen) production, combining washi and wood in an unprecedented design. Perfectly suited for both traditional Japanese and Western attire, this accessory serves as a stylish accent, and is ideal not only for celebratory occasions like parties but also for everyday use. The wooden components utilize the folding techniques from traditional Byobu, where washi connects the panels. This makes the piece reversible and also ensures excellent durability. The surface of the bag features thick washi, commonly used for fusuma (sliding doors), while the inner lining uses strong washi reinforced with fibers.
A unique mini bag crafted from washi paper and wood using Edo Hyogu techniques, assembled simply by "sticking and folding" without stitching. The wooden frame, made from Edo karakami and natural wood typically used for fusuma and byobu, features a warm and simple yet refined design that complements both Japanese and Western attire. The design also focuses on usability, with a removable inner pouch that stays securely in place during use and leather cord fastenings for effortless opening and closing.
