Our cut glass clock highlights the stunning beauty of Edo kiriko

This clock carries on the tradition of Edo kiriko, in an agglomeration of sophisticated artisan techniques where highly detailed patterns are meticulously cut into clear glass.
A total of 48 cuts are made on the glass face of the clock to link the twelve hours of the timepiece.
The numerous intersection of these cuts creates a beautiful pattern reminiscent of the traditional chrysanthemum.
In order to make these intersecting cuts with the required accuracy, the artisan must have consummate skill—and must have mastered the traditional Edo Kiriko techniques.

This clear glass clock reflects and absorbs light at different points on the clock, creating a gorgeous interplay of light ands shadow. Yet since it is at the same time an unimposing design, it matches virtually any interior. Enjoy the changing look of the clock over the course of the day.
