Passion and Dedication of the Craftsman

Bring the fun of cutting and carving closer to home.
Hizukuri is a genuine article of cutlery made using the same
Souhizukuri traditional production method as Japanese swords.
It has a sheath because the maker's wish is for is for it
to be used in a variety of situations, and not just indoors.
The blade is a double-edged blade with a three-layered
construction of steel between layers of extremely soft iron.
Evidence of hammering is a reassuring indication
that the item has been made using Souhizukuri,
but when enclosed in its sheath, it becomes one with the handle,
taking on a gentle form.
Leave it on your desk for sharpening pencils,
or in your living room for peeling fruit.
Use it outside in the garden to cut or carve
in your latest DIY endeavor, or for any purpose you can think of.
Available with a pointed or rounded tip.
The rounded tip has been made considering
the safety of first-time users.
The handle and sheath are made from cherrywood,
with "SHOJIRO" branded into the natural bark.
The design is stylish and will blend in effortlessly
in any modern style of living.
The sheath was devised for the blade to slide in easily,
and it fits with a pleasant suction noise.
