Unlike mass-produced, uniform products, traditional crafts offer a handmade rustic charm, a sense of familiarity and excellent functionality, among other things. These qualities enrich and bring a sense of well-being to our lives. Traditional crafts, as locally rooted industries, have contributed to the development of regional economies and played a significant role in preserving and promoting local culture. Currently, 42 items have been designated as our traditional crafts of Tokyo.
