SHIZUKU NO KAORI Fragrance Set

27 Edo Moku-Chokoku (Wood Sculptures)

A beautiful scene created by nature.
“SHIZUKU NO KAORI” is a fragrance set
that conveys such a scene.
There are three kinds of wooden containers,
shaped into either flowers,
leaves, or clouds. All of them were carved by
Edo Moku-Chokoku (wood sculptures)
craftsman Mr. Gankei Sato,
who has been on the path for over 60 years.
The container was treated with a special
water-repellent finish.
When a drop of essential oil that comes
with the set is dropped inside,
it rolls around in the container showing a beautiful display.
It looks like morning dew rolling from a leaf,
a scene maybe everyone has seen at least once.
The leaves container comes with two fragrances:
“Asatsuyu” (morning dew),
which is a scent reminiscent of the morning,
and “Amashidari” (rain drops),
a fragrance depicting the evening.
The clouds containers and flowers containers
also come with two fragrances each,
for clouds it is “Oborogumo” (altostratus cloud),
like the clouds of early summer,
and “Sujigumo” (cirrus clouds),
like the clouds of late autumn,
and for flowers it is “Soso” (grace),
and “Karei” (splendour),
like the beauty of flowers in bloom.
One way to enjoy these sets it to place them around
the house in different places depending
on their shape and fragrance,
like leaves in the entrance,
flowers in the living room and clouds in the bedroom.
