The secret of 100% natural indigo dye

The colour of natural dyed indigo is set when it makes contact with air. Dyed and then dried, this process must be repeated to achieve the deepest shades. Here, this work is performed by a craftsman in dye whose quality is known around the world. With a method passed on since the Edo period, a vivid “Japan Blue” indigo is rendered to the material. In this way a unique stole, achieved entirely with natural ingredients, is made to be worn.
