TOKYO Teshigoto
STORY 30

Cannot allow this glass to end

A nostalgic glass lantern by Tokyo’s oldest maker. It is named “Giyaman” after the title given to glass in the Taisho era (1912-1926); a period when the material took a new role in the daily lives of people. With the gentle flicker of a candle placed inside, the pattern on the surface expresses its warmth. A subtle balm for tiredness, a space all your own. It makes for a particularly apt gift.
